I got a lemon - Will be returning September 3, 2010 TheGrinder The number 8 hole does not work "on a dime". It does not blow or suck consistent and often reverts to a high pitched feedback sound. All other holes seem to work well.
Wonder if I got a refurbished one.
I will be returning this hunk of junk. Very disappointed.
Got me back to practicing! August 13, 2010 Baldtat (California) I've been a casual beginner(?!?) for the last six years. I've had many harmonicas. My first one was a 12 hole Hohner Marine Band that I still have. Then when I got serious again about 6 years ago, I first bought a Hohner Blues Harp, and it was just too harsh for me, so I got a Special 20, which was better. I played it for awhile but lost interest because for me it's uncomfortable; it is too thick. I bought a set of cheap Johnson Blues King harps, and actually carried a couple of them around with me for awhile, but cheap harps are cheap harps.
I'd always wanted a Lee Oskar, but couldn't justify it since I already had a Special 20 about the same price, but I wasn't playing it, and all the reviews I'd read suggested it would be more comfortable, and easier for a beginner to play. So I bought one, and sure enough, it was quite comfortable, and seemed easier to play. In fact, I'm playing it so much that I signed up for lessons on a great online site; it's almost like having a private teacher.
So I say if you're a beginner, or a slightly advanced beginner like me, get this harmonica, practice, learn to play, and have fun!
Just what I ordered August 9, 2010 rookieharpist This product was everything that was stated, and was delivered in great shape. Looking forward to years of playing pleasure.
Lee Oscar Major Diatonic C, a super Harmonica August 2, 2010 JBS Th Lee Oscar Major Diatonic C is absolutely the greatest sounding harmonica I have ever played and I have been playing for years. It' so easy to play single notes or chords, both blowing and drawing. A super harmonica that I would highly recommend to anyone playing or interested in playing.
Harmonica Man July 22, 2010 Raymond G. McPherson (Jacksonville, North Carolina) Pleasantly satisfied with my new harmonica. I've been playing the harmnica most of my life, mostly for the fun of it, but occasionally doing special music performances. My new harmonica model is different from my usual Marine Band, but just as easy to play and most pleasant to the ear.
