| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Players of all levels will enjoy the precise, uniform intonation of the 20 series recorders. This recorder, made of ABS resin, combine outstanding Yamaha quality with durability for the ultimate in a lightweight recorder. Ease of play makes the 20 series the perfect place to start. The Baroque-English fingering uses the slightly harder "forked" fingering for F, but it leads to a wider choice of music since most recorder music is written for the Baroque-English fingering. A three-piece recorder has several advantages: some people find three-piece recorders easier to clean; small adjustments for ease of fingering or intonation can be made to the foot joint; and if you have a group of children who like to play their recorders when they should be listening, you can have them take off the head joint to practice fingerings without making any noise.

My son needed a recorder for school.... the school was selling them for five dollars.... they were not better than this one....and they were backordered... so we bought him this one. Works great and shipping was fast.

Hi,
I want a flute but don't have enough money for that. So I bought this Yamaha Soprano Recorder to have an instrument to play while I can buy a flute. I did have one Soprano Recorder when I was on school, so I know how to play it. This is a good item. I love it.
Excellent Recorder for the price March 21, 2009 Jorge Belmonte (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this recorder for a friend as a gift to replace a cheaper one. It sounds so good that I bought another one for me, and another one for my son, just to start learning music. As I said, excellent recorder for the price.

Great sturdy recorder. January 9, 2009 H. Lewis 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 4th grader since they are playing recorders at school. It's been toted back and forth in his backpack with no problem. Came with a great little fabric bag to keep it clean.
